This guitar lesson vid shows you how to improve your fretboard technique with finger dexterity exercises! It shows you the chords, technique and style. Go to www.yourguitarsage.com tofind out how to get charts to 100′s of your favorite songs, as well as info about my ebook and online instructional resources about charts, chords, strumming and the techniques that I use here in my videos! Since I’m so busy making new video tutorial lessons all the time and teaching guitar, I probably won’t have time to answer individual questions regarding guitar. My other videos cover beginner, advanced and intermediate levels. I teach rock, blues, country and just about any other style on electric or acoustic. If you can’t find your answer from the resources at the website above, keep digging into my vids, and I’m sure you will find your answer. Keep practicing!!! I haven’t played a guitar in MANY YEARS, and am going to start up again – plus learning a new style – SLACK KEY. I just watched your dexterity video, I think it is GREAT!

My 4th, 5th and 6th string all sound incredibly tinny on the 9th fret. It doesn’t sound right at all. I have to start this exercise on the 8th fret to get it to sound anything like yours. I’ve tried tightening and loosening the strings to no avail. I can’t imagine it’s the strings as 1 of them is new and still sounds buggered.

Do you guys think my guitar is broke in some manner or should i just put it down to the fact it’s cheap and therefore shit?

If nothing else I hope these finger workouts will see some reward when I’m tearing it up on my Xbox!

So hard! I think picking up guitar at 50 and early stages of arthritis are making this more difficult! Not gonna give up tho. Really great videos.

i cant do it my hands are to small :(

  • Karaisoke 10 years ago

So I have TINY hands. I mean about the size of a 10 year old boy. I’m having a little extra trouble getting my pinky to do anything I want it too as well as using my fingertips on the frets. I don’t remember this being that hard when I was 14 and in guitar class.
